NitroKey may have ruined the jailbreaking of the next gen iPhone?s and Ipod?s

As you guys know the ipod touch 2g has been completely jailbroken and by saying that I mean you can successfully jailbreak it now and not have to tether it to a computer every time you turn your ipod on. Anyhow I was reading up on some info from the dev team blog when I came across this link **HERE** it gives a damn good explanation on how a ?hybrid? team, in alphabetical order: chronic, CPICH, ius, MuscleNerd, planetbeing, pod2g, posixninja, et al. (anyone wishing to be unnamed) successfully figured out the exploit of what Could have been the exploit of the next generation iphone?s and ipod?s. With that being said this is a direct quote from the site saying how nitrokey may have ruined it for all of us when it comes to jailbreaking the new Apple products.

?Timing Impact
This exploit would have allowed the pwnage of the next generation iPhone without the discovery of an additional code execution vulnerability (required to write the exploit LLB), provided that the bug still existed in the next generation?s bootrom. Even if it is too late to fix the bootrom now, it is not too late for Apple to fix the restore process in the initial shipping ipsw so that we have no way to get the exploitive LLB onto the device. Before, Apple would have no reason to fix this, since writing arbitrary data to NOR does not negate their chain of trust. However, now that a way has been found, they now can prioritize a fix for this oversight.

Thanks to irresponsible handling of the exploit by a third-party, this eventuality is a near-certainty and erased the possibility of the next generation iPhone from being jailbroken right off the bat. May they burn in hell. ?

Nitro Key, ktorí sami o sebe vyzerajú ako mimoriadni podvodníci, pretože predávajú vlastný nekvalitný (dokonca ani nejde na Macoch) jailbreakovací softvér pre iPod Touch 2G a tvária sa pritom, že sú jedinou možnosťou ako ho jailbreaknúť, niekde prekecli ako sa tento jailbreak vlastne podaril. Neviem odkiaľ túto informáciu majú, možno ju nejak získali od dev teamu. Dev team tvrdí, že bug ktorý jailbreak umožnil mal byť aj v nasledujúcom zariadení (nebol dôvod na to aby nebol), ale teraz keď to nitroKey prezradil, tak tomu môže Apple zabrániť. A keďže aj tento krát na to prišli až po pol roku, tak sa to znovu veľmi sťažilo.

Tohle me vubec neprekvapuje. Jak se pise na konci, znamena to, ze jailbreak nebude hned. V IT vzniklo jen malo veci, ktery se nikomu nepodarilo prolomit, hacknout, cracknout, breaknout a jak se tomu vsemu rika (me osobne napada snad jen nejnovejsi verze Cue Base) V dobe kdy delali prvni jailbreak jeste nemeli tak velkou podporu jako ted. Jiste, asi si pockame, ale pul roku tomu urcite nedavam.

Mozna, ze prolomit jde opravdu vsechno, ale napr. Playstation 3 uz taky odolava nejakych pra mesicu a zatim prolomena neni. Verim, ze pokud by chteli v Apple iPhone opavdu zablokovat proti JB tak by se jim to klidne podarilo. Dokud vsak prodavaji iPhone hlavne jako HW tak je to asi az moc netrapi.

Samozrejme, že prelomiť sa dá snáď všetko a o toto má záujem také množstvo ľudí, že to niekto časom zlomí. Keby sa ale toto neodhalilo, pravdepodobne by to trvalo nabudúce krátko.
